The decline of modesty.

When it first gets warm in Portland, I’m incredibly modest. Even a tank top can seem risqué: “Shoulders showing? Is that appropriate for the grocery store?” After all, we’ve been bundled up in scarves & caps & sweaters for the last 10 months. I even forget I have a half sleeve.

One week of hot weather and I’m like: “Yes, I’m wearing a swimsuit to work, we’re a casual office”.

  1. I was just mentioning to JJ how awkward it would be if we stopped wearing most of our clothes like toddlers do in the summer; only Sofi looks cute hanging out in just a diaper.
